There's a silver lining to Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles and Sergio Marchionne's nicely wrapped plans that seem to never happen on time: designers get to squeeze their imagination often.
As you know, Alfa Romeo plans to launch a lot of models in the future, so according to their version, the stunning Alfa Romeo Giulia is just the tip of the iceberg.
We'll have to wait and see if they keep their promise, so let's redirect our attention towards the SUV segment. Since it's the most-wanted niche at the moment, the Italians plan on building such a version that will most likely be derived from the Alfa Giulia.
As I said, we'll let time confirm or infirm the brand's claims. In the meantime, we can admire one interpretation on how a Giulia-based Alfa SUV would look like, this time coming from RM.Design.
Last time we saw another model wearing Giulia's face happened last month when Theophilus Chin took a Jaguar C-X17 prototype and glued Giulia's face on its front end.
We have to hand it to you, the renderings you're about to see are more elaborate, which is fine by us, as long as our eyes receive the details they crave.
Rember, this SUV from Alfa Romeo is supposed to rival the likes of BMW X3/X4, Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Lexus NX. So boldness is not an option, it's a compulsory trait.
As speculative as the renderings may be, we find the renderings audacious from a visual point of view. Maybe too rash if you consider that grinning front grille, but still, I feel like I'm watching a car with its own personality here, rather than just another boxy SUV.
