Alfa Romeo MiTo with Gullwing Doors

Alfa Romeo MiTo is now available in a multitude of versions and finding a customized model that perfectly fits your needs is quite easy. However, the guys over at LSD managed to design an unique feature for the MiTo which is going to be publicly revealed at the Essen Motorshow 2009.

The LSD Kit for Alfa Romeo MiTo will bring this particular model a newly-designed set of gullwing doors which, as you can see in the adjacent photo, provides quite an unique and sporty appearance. And, best of all, the new feature comes pretty cheap as it costs only 1,399 euro.

The full list of specs will be released at the Essen Motorshow which runs from November 28 to December 6.

LSD Group, a part of the KW automotive group, says the gullwing doors are comprising the new GRS (Guided Roller System) feature with adjustable roller guidance. This basically translates into enhanced safety and easy handling on all models it is installed on, including the MiTo.

In case a tweaked MiTo is too much for you, the Italian brand is also offering more environmentally friendly and fuel efficient versions. The new 1.4 Turbo LPG version is equipped with a 1.4-liter unit that releases 131 grams of CO2 per kilometer and develops a maximum output of 120 hp at 5,000 rpm. It is sold in Italy for 13,900 euros.

In terms of performance, the new LPG MiTo reaches a maximum speed of 198 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.8 seconds. The car can be already ordered in Italy through Alfa Romeo's official dealership network.
