Alfa Romeo has just announced that Damien Dally will from now on serve as Head of Brand in the United Kingdom and will report to Fiat Group Automobiles UK managing director Andrew Humberstone. Damien, who is 36, will be responsible for the Alfa Romeo brand advertising and communication, product planning and economics, the company said in a press release posted on its official website.
“I am looking forward to steering Alfa Romeo into its second century, and to working more closely with our dealer partners and senior management to ensure the brand succeeds within the UK market,” says Damien Dally. “We have recently introduced the Alfa Giulietta to the product range, and will continue to dedicate our energies into improving the entire Alfa Romeo brand experience.”
In the meantime, Alfa Romeo is gearing up for the 2011 Geneva Motor Show where it is believed to present the 4C GTA concept that is likely to preview a future model to be developed by the iconic Italian brand.
Not much is known about the concept, but it is likely to pack a 1.7-liter turbocharged engine that will develop around 265 horsepower. Of course, it will be inspired from the existing 8C Competizione, so expect several design cues to be similar on the two models.
While some voices are claiming that the 4C concept has no chance to enter production for the time being, others are suggesting that the prototype to be on display at the Swiss event will most likely give us a glimpse into a future Alfa Romeo model to hit the market in the next few years.
