Alfa Romeo Giulietta New Photos

Alfa Romeo has just released a bunch of new photos with the Giulietta, the company's latest contraption that will go live at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. Also known as the replacement of the 147, Alfa's Giulietta will boast LED technology and Daytime Running Lights as well as a new rear end design and rear light clusters incorporating the same LED system.

As you can see in the new photo gallery, Giulietta perfectly fits Alfa's design philosophy and boasts the same design elements we've seen on several other models marketed under the Italian badge. For example, the front fascia is similar to the one of the MiTo but, instead, it comes with upgraded interiors and different rear end.

Obviously, it will employ an upgraded engine lineup, each of them optimized for increased performance but reduced emissions and fuel consumption. All engines will be Euro 5 compliant.

The Alfa Giulietta engines will be equipped with a standard Start&Stop function for better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions: two petrol engines (1.4TB – 120 HP and 1.4TB MultiAir – 170 HP) and two diesel engines (1.6 JTDM – 105 HP and 2.0 JTDM – 170 HP, both belonging to the second generation of JTDM engines). The range is completed with the exclusive 1750 TBi – 235 HP with Quadrifoglio Verde configuration.

The full list of specifications is yet to be revealed but more information will be unleashed in the upcoming months as we got closer to the Geneva Motor Show appearance. Expect for the Giulietta to go on sale in the last months of 2010.
