Alfa Romeo Confirms 4C Production Limited to 3,500 Units a Year
1,000 4Cs will be sold in Europe, while the remaining 2,500 are destined for the remaining markets around the world, Alfa Romeo announced, adding that the limited production is due to “constraints related to the technical and technological solutions adopted.”
As a reminder, the Alfa Romeo 4C is powered by a turbocharged 1,750cc four-cylinder engine good for 240 PS (237 HP) when mounted to a TCT twin-clutch automatic transmission. Top speed is rated at 250 km/h (155 mph), while 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) can be achieved in just 4.5 seconds. Starting price is set at €56,000 in Europe.
According to a dealer sheet that surfaced the Internet last month, the 4C will choice of six exterior colors, four interior shades with seat types, as well as four wheel options (ranging from 17 to 19-inch sizes) and four brake caliper colors. Other options include a racing-style exhaust tip, body colored decklid spoiler, carbon fiber surrounds for the headlights and a Sport appearance package.
As expected, the Alfa Romeo 4C will be displayed at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show which is scheduled to commence on September 10.
