Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo 4C sportscar will make its dynamic debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the “Launch Edition” will be seen in action for the very first time.
“The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a spectacular celebration of motoring drawing automotive enthusiasts from all over the country and even Europe. What better event for the Alfa 4C to make a thrilling UK debut? We can’t wait to see the crowd reaction as this fantastic car takes to the famous Hill Climb for the very first time. This will be a Festival of Speed to remember for Alfa Romeo,” said Damien Dally, head of Alfa Romeo UK.
As a reminder, the Alfa Romeo 4C will be powered by a turbocharged 1,750cc four-cylinder engine good for 240 PS (237 HP) when mounted to a TCT twin-clutch automatic transmission. Top speed is rated at 250 km/h (155 mph), while 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) can be achieved in just 4.5 seconds. Starting price is set at €56,000 in Europe, but the 4C will mark the automaker’s big comeback in the United States.
The 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed is scheduled to take place from 12 through 14 July.
