When hearing about a new Akrapovic product race bikes and cars come into mind, and for a very good reason: the Slovenian exhaust manufacturer has coined the Akra-performance term with pretty much any kind of motorsports around. However, prepare to smile as we’re showing you the Racing Line exhaust for the Vespa Primavera scooters.
This Akrapovic silencer is now available for the Vespa Primavera 125/150 ie 3V, the LX 125/150 ie 3V, and the Sprint 125/150 ie 3V, offering a no-nonsense performance boost, while at the same time endowing these small-displacement two-wheelers with the unmistakable throaty tone of the Akra cans. According to official Akrapovic sources, the Racing Line exhaust adds 5% to the max power and torque figures of the Vespa scooters, while also shaving some weight off them.

In more precise terms, the Racing Line system will boost the max power at 7,750 rpm from 8.4 to 8.8 horsepower, while the torque increases from 9.3 to 9.6Nm (6.9 to 7.1 lb-ft) at 6,650 revs. The total weight of the stock exhaust was dropped from 5.6 kg to 3.9 kg (12.3 to 8.6 lbs). Installation is a breeze, as it will take around 45 minutes to any person with medium mechanical skills and some common tools.

Matching the fashion statement usually associated with Vespa scooters, the new Akrapovic exhaust comes with a black-coated outer sleeve surrounding the stainless steel core structure. To complement the racing looks, the can also comes with a carbon-fiber end cap. Akrapovic says the system is plug and play and needs no engine remapping after installation. However if you want to be fully EC Type-compliant, an optional catalytic converter is required. No price was announced yet, but you could ask your local dealer about more details on the all-new Akrapovic Racing Line exhaust system for Vespa Primavera scoots.
