Acura Reportedly Working on ‘Small NSX’
The car will be sold as an Acura, and if the guys over at motortrend.com are right, it will be quite different to its bigger brother, in several important ways. Firstly, while it may share the larger car’s mid-engined layout, it will feature a smaller engine which will most likely be aided by turbochargers. Possible engines which could be used as a base are the firm’s 2.0-liter, 2.4-liter or even the 3.5-liter units. A hybrid system is also not out of the question.
It will also differ from the bigger car in terms the number of wheels driven, as the ‘mini-NSX’ will feature an all-wheel drive system, making it a very different proposition to the larger car. If it does become a reality, then we must admit that it is a very promising prospect, and we hope to have more details on the matter soon.
