Acura Giving the ILX a Civic-Like Quick Fix
Acura boss company Honda also messed up he Civic, which had to be redone in record time. A facelift was introduced just 18 month after the original, and the same thing will have to be done with the ILX.
Autonews reports that despite its all-new body and affordable base price, he ILX is being outsold by more expensive models like the Volkswagen CC and Audi A4. It’s also being outsold by the TSX, which it was meant to replace. See Honda, keyless start is not a credible luxury feature, you need build quality and better materials.
One problem is that the base model is powered by a 2-liter engine with only 150 horsepower. Also, the 2.4-liter motor was envisioned to be a sporty version of the sedan and is only available with a six-speed manual.
But even if these things are fixed... boy is it ugly!
