Abt Volkswagen Golf VI GTI 260/300 HP
text size: A- A+
To get straight to the point, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine on the GTI produces 211 horsepower with standard configuration but the tuning house applied a series of modifications that result in two different outputs: consumers can get either 260 horsepower - with the help of an upgraded ECU and exhaust system - or 300 horsepower, which pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds.
And that's not all. Abt lowered the car by approximately 30 mm and installed a four-pipe exhaust system generating a more aggressive and sporty sound than the standard one. As for the body kits, it also features numerous enhancements, no matter if we're talking about the LED lights, front grille, front and rear spoilers or the side bars. There are two types of of wheels available in either 18- or 19-inch.
In terms of interior upgrades, the customized model boasts red accents on the instrument panel, dashboard, door trim and steering wheel.
Unfortunately, all the aforementioned aftermarket upgrades do not come cheap. The whole kit is available for 3,276 euros in Germany with the installation and the paint costing an extra 1,080 and 1,170 euros respectively. As for the power upgrades, the 260 horsepower modification is worth 1,490 euros with an additional 60 euros tax for installation. The 300 horsepower on the other hand is a bit more expensive being priced at 5,300 euros, including installation and TUV registration.
