The previous generation of the S6 and RS6 used two entirely different engines, but now Audi just offers the same 4-liter twin-turbo. They have different components, so you can't say RS6 buyers are getting a painted donkey. But the point of this article is that you can boost the S6 to match its more expensive cousin.
Why is that important? Because they're a gaping hole in terms of pricing between the two. The S6 Avant will set you back €78,700 in Germany, while the RS6 is €110,000. Ouch!

German tuning firm ABT Sportsline has made it its business to correct this injustice. In stock form, the S6 puts out 450 hp (331 kW) and 550 Nm, but both numbers can be increased substantially.

After an ECU remap and some sports pipes, the V8 is good for 550 hp (404 kW) and 680 Nm( 501 lb-ft), an increase of 100 PS (73 kW) and 130 Nm (95 lb-ft). So you can race AMGs and BMW Ms without a worry in the world.

ABT also supplies its Vmax box, which allows you to race the S6 all the way to 290 km/h (180 mph), which should keep the Porsche Caymans off your back.

The customization doesn't stop with the engine bay. Your 2015 Audi S6 sedan or wagon can be dressed with ABT fender inserts, mirror caps with a finish of shining exposed carbon and a rear spoiler made of CFRP.

A selection of different wheel designs is available, while an electric ABT Level Control for the air suspension system helps lower the super-saloon/estate.

For the interior, the Bavarian tuners offer integrated entrance lights, their own start-stop button, floor and trunk mats featuring their logo and the LED shifting lights in the steering wheel.
