A Fireblade Born of Fire
More precisely, the photographer uses drawing and painting with light to give life to otherwise non-existent objects. This, is itself, is not at all interesting, but the sources he uses to create the light paintings are mind blowing.
Take the Firebird we are showing you in the adjacent photo, a model created by the artist from... fire. And we do mean literally, because, as the photographer says, no digital manipulation is used in the creative process.
“I have been exploring this medium since 1973. Work also includes 3D stereo stills as well as animations, complete with original sound scores,” Stubelick on the site where he is displaying his work (for the curious among you, the following link will take you to other results of Stubelick's amazing work). "I like to utilize ordinary common objects to create an extra-ordinary event."
Now, we are aware that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but we can't help from applauding the passions this particular photographer has. We, for instance, would rather see more of Stubelick's work instead of the BMW idea of a piece of art (like the H2R Art Car or the The Dwelling Lab).
