70 MPH Crash Seen by the Helmet Cam

As the rider in this video says, this bad crash occurred because of insufficient riding experience.
A more seasoned motorcyclist would test a bit the brakes of a motorcycle before heading out in busy traffic and doing 70 mph (112 km/h). Or at least go that fast to test the machinery...

Acquainted to riding his quarter-liter Ninja, the fellow says to apparently have applied just as much effort as he would use on his Kawasaki. Which proved to be extremely wrong as the Honda CBR600 F4i had way more powerful brakes.

The result was easy to foresee: the chap locked the front and subsequently lost it, so "hello asphalt" was next in line. Good to see him wearing full gear and thus making it almost unscathed, with just mild bruises.

Oh, and again, how about keeping a finger or two on the brake lever? This should be taught in riding school form the first lesson. The reasons why are detailed in these Autoevolution guides on braking.
