612 Ferrari Scaglietti by Imola Racing
Their latest creation is a brand new Ferrari 612 which was fitted with a full sport widebody body kit, a two-tone unique paint job and enormous wheels. The new styling package will include a new front spoiler and rear diffuser to produce maximum downforce and grip while traveling at high speeds, widened fenders and a small discrete rear spoiler.
With the help of the contrasting two-tone color of the 612 Ferrari, the tuners from Imola Racing are trying to replicate the looks of a classic Corvette, the lighter gray being used on both the side and the roof panel. The slick “I am a bad man” look is completed by the ultra-low profile tires that dress an unique set of rims. The interior of the Imola Racing 612 Scaglietti has not been neglected and has received the high-standard treatment to fit the excentric design of the exterior.
The only mechanical upgrades that we know so far have been generally exhaust- and suspension-based. There is no indication if the powertrain or suspension of the car was modified.
Entered the Ferrari stable in 2004, the Scaglietti was designed to replace the 456 M. The name of the 612 is taken after the home town of one of Ferrari's coach builders, Carozzeria Scaglietti. The engine used on the 612 is a 5.7 V12 that was also used on the 575 Maranello, the Tipo F133E that produces 533 hp and is able to propel the car to a top speed of 315 km/h (199 mph).
