When you drive a car that will automatically drift as you try to drag race, perhaps somewhere in the triple-digit area, you know you’re in for trouble. The perfect example of this comes from the shocking C6 Corvette in the video below, which is one of the most badass ‘Vettes we’ve ever seen.
The aftermarket world has trained us not to be amazed when seeing a car that packs 2,000 HP and we’re talking about the GT-Rs and Gallardos that terrorize acceleration events with their twin-turbo setups.

Well, today we have something that goes a full standard Corvette’s power over the 2,000 HP mark, namely a twin-turbo C6 that delivers 2,400 ponies. The thing was out on public roads last month and one of its extreme runs was caught on camera.

Interestingly enough, it seems the horsepower behemoth’s traction control was turned off during the run over a wheel speed sensor malfunction.

Can you imagine having to steer 2,400 hp with your right foot? We’re not sure the driver of the ‘Vette was prepared, since the footage shows the man loosing control at serious speed.

Fortunately, the event didn’t lead to a crash, but as the Corvette was racing an 1,350 hp GT-R, it almost crashed. The drag radials are nowhere near enough to convinve this Corvette to behave. Oh well, at least it's drag racing-ready with that parachute attached to its back.

This one is no sleeper though. The pair of turbines sticks out through the hood and that V8 is a bit of a flame thrower.
