2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, SLC, and SL Are Now Available to Order

The wait is now over for Mercedes-Benz fans, because the all-new E-Class, SLC, and the enhanced SL are now available to order.

Mercedes has been teasing us with its new E-Class for a long time now. The new sedan comes with three engines available at market launch in Europe: the first model is the E 200 and features a four-cylinder gasoline engine, developing 184 horsepower, and it starts at 45,303 euros.

The second one is the E 220 d, powered by an all-new four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 195 horsepower, and it has a starting price of 47,124 euros. The third and most powerful of them all is the E 350 d, which comes with a V6 diesel engine providing 258 horsepower and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque and starts at 55,602 euros. All models are equipped with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission as standard.

The new E-Class comes with a wide range of standard equipment, such as Active Brake Assist, the Pre-Safe System with Pre-Safe Sound, Thermatic automatic climate control, Dynamic Select with five adjustable front seats. Customers can individualize their car’s exterior to match their desires thanks to Avantgarde, Exclusive or AMG Line design and equipment packages.

Other optional equipment includes High-Resolution Multibeam LED headlamps, Air Body Control, Driving Assistance Package, Driving Assistance Package Plus, Remote Parking Pilot or Digital vehicle key.

To mark its 20th anniversary, the SLK compact roadster comes with new clothes and a brand new name, the SLC. The entry-level SLC 180 starts at 34,926.50 euros in Germany and is powered by a four-cylinder engine pushing 156 horsepower to the rear wheels. The top version, named SLC 43, is available from 59,886 euros and its V6 engine develops 367 horsepower.

The new model comes as standard with Active Brake Assist, panoramic various-roof, Attention Assist, multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather, Audio 20 CD, air conditioning and LED tail lamps. The Dynamic Select is a standard feature in the SLC 300 and SLC 250 d, and in the SLC 180 and SLC 200 with 9G-TRONIC, the equipment is available as an option.

Last but not least, the Mercedes-Benz SL facelift comes with more powerful engines, 9G-Tronic automatic transmission, Dynamic Select with five transmission modes and Active Body Control.

The first model available is the SL 400 and features a V6 engine upgraded to 367 horsepower and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, with pricing starting at 99,097 euros. It is followed by the SL 500, packing a V8 engine under the hood and developing 455 horsepower, with prices starting at 122,897.25 euros.

For those of you who need a sportier version, the SL-Class also has two AMG versions. Starting from 161,691 euros, the SL 63 is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 Biturbo engine capable of 585 horsepower and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The tip of the iceberg is the SL 65, which comes with a 6.0-liter V12 Biturbo engine rated at 630 horsepower and 1000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque, available from 239,933 euros. Deliveries will start in April.
