Audis understeer. We all know that and therefore it shouldn't be such a big deal after all the years of screaming front tires. However, when we're dealing with a prototype battle moment on the Nurburgring, we can't help but point out the aural inconsistencies in the Ingolstadt performance game.
Ah yes, the pleasures of the Nordschleife - with the Green Hell having gained more importance than ever before, it's now virtually impossible to sneeze at the Ring without the moment ending up on the internet.

And we've brought you here to show you a compressed Nurburgring action episode, one that sees the 2017 Mercedes-AMG E63 chasing the Audi RS3 Sedan on the infamous German track.

Sure, the two prototypes seen here met by accident (luckily, not that kind of accident), but they can't simply ignore each other just because of the camouflage they're wearing.

Even though the two velocity tools compete in totally different corners of the performance sedan world, their slight chase provides plenty of entertainment. Until the RS3's understeer decibels kick in, that is. Then again, the undoubtedly fast Audi test car has been caught on camera screaming even louder through the same Ring corner and you can witness this in the second video below.

This doesn't mean we're expecting the Audi's 2017 debut with anything less than the greatest of enthusiasm. Such a reaction is only normal when a compact four-door is said to pack 400 horses using an all-new 2.5-liter turbo-fed five-cylinder.

As for the Affalterbach-massaged W213, which is animated by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivering up to 600 hp, we simply can't get enough of the development Nurburgring battles - as those of you following our Green Hell stories remember, we brought you such a battle involving the more traditional E63 vs. M5 rivalry (2017 F90 M5, that is) last month.
