The 2017 KTM 390 Duke and 2017 KTM RC 390 will make their North American Debut at the New York International Motorcycle Show this weekend, so make sure you pay the black-n-orange stand a visit to see them from up close.
The two bikes will be unveiled today, December 9th, for the press at the KTM tradeshow booth inside the New York Javits Center in Manhattan and will be on display the whole weekend for the general public.

Also dubbed as the “corner rocket”, the 2017 KTM 390 Duke is fitted with big features that come in a small package. The new aggressive styling proclaims that the 390 Duke is a READY TO RACE motorcycle and that is also backed up by the performance and handling it comes with.

The lines of the bike are sharp and modern, giving the small motorcycle a vicious look. At the front, there is a new LED headlight and a full-color TFT digital dashboard.

Underneath all that macho look sits a compact DOHC 373 cc single-cylinder engine that is said to generate “class-leading power and torque”. A new ride-by-wire throttle will provide a smoother and more controllable power delivery, which, combined with a steel trellis frame, new 43 mm WP upside-down fork, and larger brake rotors, will take the ride to a new level.

Its stablemate, the 2017 KTM RC 390, also gets a host of updates to further polish the READY TO RACE nature of the small-displacement supersport. A new side exhaust and graphics are first to be noticed, while wider mirrors, a new seat, and adjustable levers top it off and also increase the comfort.

The advancements in the engine department make the sophisticated DOHC single extremely compact, weighing in at a mere 79 lbs (35.8 kg). It also comes with dry-sump lubrication, three-way catalytic converter, new PASC slipper clutch and can put out a maximum of 44 hp.
