2017 Ford GT Application Parody May Not Be All That Absurd

From financial to image-related issues, speculation harms the world of supercars in so many ways, which is why Ford has decided nobody will buy a 2017 GT and attempt to resell it for profit on the Blue Oval's watch.

While Ford may have close the thorough application process earlier this month, one late Youtuber is here to give us his application. The timing isn't all that important, though, as we're dealing with a parody here, one you can find at the bottom of the page.

And while the "stunts" in the video below might seem like slabs of low-quality humor, the whole adventure may have a point. You see, among other steps, the application process required those in the market for the $400,000 supercar to submit a video in which they showed the automaker why they deserve to get their hands on the 500 cars Ford will be building over the first two years of production.

And while we only checked out one or two such clips and found nothing wrong (on the contrary), we're willing to bet that, if we hadn't lost our patience, we would've certainly come across Ford GT applicants who had overcooked things, perhaps with similar lines to the ones you'll find in the video below.

The Ford employees who are handling the selection process already have enough work on their hands, since 6,506 people submitted their applications over the four-week interval the company had prepared for them. That number says quite a lot about the appeal of a car that sees its potential buyers turning to the Forza Motorsport game for finding out the HP number of the machine.

This also means Ford will have to send out 6,006 denial explanations. Oh well, guess those looking for a supercar will have to return to the Lamborghini Aventador.

P.S.: If you're wondering who the spaghetti guy mentioned in the video is, here's a tip for you.
