The famous affordable sedan has toured the globe, from Brazil to Russia, while searching for new customers. Currently in its second generation, this B-segment contender has gained an appearance package that almost tricks you into thinking it's something else.

One good example of this is at the back - taillights with quad design elements that look like they are powered by LEDs. But Renault actually found a way to pull the look off with regular light bulbs.

No such shenanigans at the front, though, as the LED daytime running signature is the real deal. The Logan's headlights are now split into three, mirroring the Duster facelift.

There's also a new black plastic grille that features eight large rectangular elements, once again mirroring the Duster. Updates have also been made to the lower mesh grille and the fog lights.

But Dacia is way smarter than we give them credit. For example, they now offer heated seats and a reversing camera option. So buying that second-hand Ford Fiesta from five years ago doesn't make that much sense.

The interior looks largely the same as it was when the Logan came out in 2012. However, they did completely change the steering wheel in a good way. There's a conventional horn pad in the middle, and the general look is less chunky. By emphasizing the spokes, the 2017 Logan model will add a touch of class.

The updated Logan also gets new storage spaces, a 12V power socket and a new bottle stowage space for rear occupants. Meanwhile, the driver’s seat features an elbow rest on the top trim level, so there's no need to install an aftermarket one.

Finally, there's a small change on the engine front, as the 1.2-liter was replaced by a 1-liter SCe unit with 75 HP. The rest of the range is made up of the TCe 90 (3-cylinder turbo) and two versions of the 1.5 dCi, making 75 or 90 HP. Both the 90 HP models will continue to be offered with an Easy-R automatic gearbox (technically, it's a robotized manual).
