2017 Citroen C3 Commercials: Marry Me, Baby Colors and Men in Drag

Citroen used to make cars that are different, and it still does, but not in a 2CV kind of way. The all-new C3 is not only a much better supermini than its predecessor, but it also has some innovative features.

The launch of the car is already happening in France, so several commercials have been filmed in Citroen's typically colorful fashion.

Our favorite is called "Marry Me" and it's about that camera they fitted to the C3. It can even send the images via social network, though we doubt the resolution is as good as they make it seem. But that or the fact that your phone does the same thing are not the points here.

The point is that your car can ask your girlfriend to marry you and chicks dig originality. There's a sequel in which the same girl gets a hundred C3s together to make an image of a baby in the womb. It's called "Baby Colors" and is a play on the way the royal families announce whether a prince or a princess was born using smoke.

The last one is called "Inspired By You!" and it's going global, with similar versions being shown in Spain and Belgium already. After watching a man putting on lipstick in the mirror, we are never going to look at the C3 the same way ever again.

We really like the look of this new C3. Like most modern Citroens, it's got the headlights below the daytime running light. The Air Bumps are a little bit sorry than on the C4 Cactus, and you can delete them, but we don't see the point in doing that. The engines available include two versions of the 1.6-liter diesel and various 3-cylinder petrol engines.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
