The guys at Autogespot Spain have scored a major scoop. A special convoy made up of the most exciting new Audis was photographed at a gas station. Joining the yellow R8 Spyder we saw yesterday is the 2017 TT RS, seen without even a sliver of camouflage.
This production body is seen for the first time, as Audi only used test mules based on the TTS. Can you forgive us for using words like "gorgeous" and "delightful" when describing this performance coupe?

The styling resembles that of the TT Clubsport quattro concept from last year, which combined the 2.5-liter engine with the famous electric turbochargers.

From the front, the RS model features a more distinctive silver spoiler and a deep groove at the bottom of the hexagonal green which no other Audi has. The side skirts and fenders appear identical to those on the TTS, but the wheels are new and remind us of the "Brooklyn" alloys of the Golf GTI, but with more spokes. As for the rear, it's defined by the obligatory twin oval exhaust pipes and fixed wing bolted onto the trunk.

In America, the TT RS will arrive as a 2017 model, most likely making its debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show. We suspect a manual gearbox option will be offered since a prototype testing in Scandinavia had it.

As for the engine, we expect the 2.5-liter turbo to offer 367 PS as standard and 400 PS with the Performance package. Of course, if that's not enough, you can always tune the little 911 sleigher to have even more venom in its tail.

Fast Audis are always punchy, but rarely fun. Yet quattro engineers have been benchmarking the little coupe against the A45 AMG, Porsche Cayman GT4 and Lotus Evora. That means it should handle better than the RS3.
