Subaru's best-selling model was in for a treat which means the 2016MY earns new features along with a reviewed price tag that Subaru took the time to make public.
The fourth-gen Subaru Forester was launched as a 2015MY but to stay up-to-date with the latest tech developments and practices in the industry, the six-star logo company fitted the 2016 Forester with new safety, security and infotainment features.
As you might be thinking, the Forester will now be available with Subaru's Starlink Audio System and Safety and Security features. These new gizmos offer Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Departure and Sway Warning.
Another fresh feature is Steering-Responsive Fog Lights, which uses the pre-aimed fog lights to direct the beam of light in the direction of a turn.
Firstly, the 2016 Forester 2.5i model is available in base, Premium, Limited and top-line Touring trims. All these trims are powered by a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder boxer engine returning 27 mpg (l/100 km) combined when coupled with the Lineatronic CVT gearbox.
Secondly, the turbocharged Forester 2.0XT - offered in the Premium and Touring trims - draws its energy from a 250-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder mill.
All 2016 Subaru Forester models come standard with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Prices start from $22,395 (without $850 destination and delivery fee) for the Forester 2.5i equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, while more demanding customers can have the Forester 2.5i Touring CVT for $30,795 (plus $850 destination and delivery fee).
However, the most expensive Subaru Forester is the Forester 2.0XT Touring CVT version, wearing a starting sticker of $33,795.
