The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is nowhere in sight. According to the Blue Oval, the most extreme F-150 yet will be available late in 2016. For those who can’t wait that long for the 450 horsepower dune runner to arrive at the dealership, Roush has an alternative.
Meet the 2016 Roush F-150 SC, a tuning package that costs $22,600 sans the donor pickup truck. Compared to the EcoBoost-branded twin-turbo V6 engine of the F-150 Raptor, the Roush package enhances the 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 from the standard 385 horsepower and 387 lb-ft (524 Nm) to 600 horsepower and 557 lb-ft (755 Nm) of torque.

The key upgrades come in the form of a side-exit exhaust system and a Roush 2300 TVS supercharger system with twin four-lobe rotors that are twisted at 160 degrees.

More than that, the American tuning outfit teamed up with Fox Racing Shox, the company that developed the suspension for the F-150 Raptor. Dubbed the 2.0 Performance Series Suspension System, the package includes goodies such as high-performance coil-overs and rear shocks. Better still, Roush will also throw in 20-inch wheels that are shod in 305/55 section Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires.

On the aesthetic front, Roush Performance enhances the 2016 Ford F-150 full-size pickup truck with flares with integrated clearance lights. The front grille is also enhanced with clearance lights. In addition to these, the F-150 gets a different front bumper cover and decals for the windshield, hood, tailgate, and rockers.

Now available for order at select dealerships, the 2016 Roush F-150 SC comes with an industry-leading 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. The regular F-150 prides itself with a bumper to bumper coverage that lasts for three years - unless you drive more than 36,000 miles before those three years elapse. How about that for peace of mind when you go dune hunting in your weekend warrior?

On an ending note, Roush can perform the conversion for both the SuperCab and SuperCrew.
