Few track comparisons are as delicious as the one we're here to show you, with this brawl involving a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and a BMW M4 GTS.
Thanks to Motorsport Magazine, we can now check out the Magny-Cours lap times of the two machines and we can't help but put on a huge smile when seeing just how close the two are.

While we won't spoil the fun of the lap clips below by throwing the numbers here, we can tell you this much - on the short French circuit, the two velocity beasts managed to finish with a gap of... less than a blink between their times.

For the record, the 420 hp Zuffenhausen machine and the 500 HP Bimmer, which is the most aggressive M Division model currently on sale, also play in the same financial league.

Sure, the M4 GTS comes with a MSRP of $134,200, while the C4S starts at $110,300, but, given the Zuffenhausen optional extra magic, which simply can't be ignored, the conclusion above is valid.

You don't have to be a track day specialist to figure out that a battle involving both cars lapping the track at the same time would've been even more engaging. However, it's enough to check out the pieces of on-board footage below, which show the individual laps, to get your hooning pleasure.

Perhaps the best aspect of this comparison is the way in which the two deliver the similar performance. While the Porscha temporarily redirects its all-rounder energy towards the track duties, the BMW goes for an all-in stunt, screaming like an animal that's just been unleashed from its cage.

Before we invite you to check out the circuit action, we'll drop a brief reminder on what happens when these two are thrown at the Nurburgring. While the M4 GTS can lap the Green Hell in 7:28, the Carrera 4S will complete the task in under 7:30 - Porsche hasn't provided the lap time for the four-wheel-drive model seen here, but we do know the rear-wheel-drive C2S delivers a 7:30 Nordschleife time.

P.S.: We can't help but wonder how the still-in-development 2018 Mercedes-AMG C63 R Coupe will affect such track games.
