Ford Motor Company had this coming for a long time now, and it finally happened. Mustang fans and future owners, you can now jump for joy and ready your wallets, as the 2016 Mustang and Shelby GT350/GT350R online configurator is now alive and kicking.
We're sure you know how to handle things from now on, but we'll say this anyway.

The configurator gives you the virtual opportunity to build your ideal Mustang by selecting all the colors, options, packages, and exterior and interior equipment that your heart desires. Also, the use of imagination is highly recommended.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't keep an eye on the price counter, especially if you're interested in buying a 'Stang and your budget can be stretched into infinity. For those eager to own a 2016 Mustang EcoBoost Premium, FoMoCo is offering the exclusive Pony Package, inspired by a trim level popular in the '60s.

In reality, this offers 19-inch polished aluminum wheels, tri-bar pony logo on the grille, side stripe, and chrome window surrounds.

Moreover, the 2016 Mustang GT will wear hood vent-mounted turn lights, similar to those on the 1967 Mustang. But there's more. The GT can be had with a fresh Black Accent Package that introduces an 'all black everything' touch.

Among the parts affected we can mention a black rear spoiler, black emblems and 19-inch alloy wheels with, of course, black finish.

The GT350 and GT350R territory is where things get hot. The GT350 starts from $47,795 MSRP while the GT350R will remove $61,295 from your bank accounts. As we reported a while ago, for the entry-level V6 Fastback with the six-speed manual transmission, customers are charged $23,800 and $825 for destination and delivery.

The convertible adds more cash to that amount, as buyers will have to pay $29,300 for the drop-top Mustang V6. We'll end our talking here, it's time for you to play with the configurator, which is available here.
