Scheduled to hit European dealerships this November, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will be exiting its testing phase soon and that’s what our most recent spyshots seem to say. With heavy camouflage all around and a faux boot round the back, the C-Class Coupe prototype here appears ready for a proper launch. The fact that its camo has been stripped from the roof also indicates Daimler is ready to show its 4 Series fighter.
Signs are promising even before we actually get to see the production model because the 2-door C-Class’s design will be based on its bigger brother’s, the S-Class Coupe which is one of the best looking cars on the market today.

Officials are even jumping in and already boasting with pride concerning the styling, saying here and there that it’s looking fantastic and better than whatever you’d be expecting. Well, we certainly hope so, but knowing the German automakers, only the high-dollar models will look like miniature S-Coupes.

As you can see in the spy photos below, not all models will be drop dead gorgeous, especially if they’re fitted with halogen lights like the prototype here. Honestly, seeing a base model like this makes you really reconsider how important the headlamps are for the look of a car.

The C-Coupe will have no shortage of competitors, starting with the BMW 4 Series we mentioned and, by 2016, ending with the Infiniti Q60. A little "fat" Lexus' RC is also a beautiful car that many Americans will also consider.

Finally, we have to talk about the engines. The car in our photos has no visible tailpipes and the exhaust is coming from underneath the left side of the bumper. This is probably one of the entry-level models, like the 136 PS or 177 PS diesel models.

But fret not petrolheads, awesome V6 turbos are also on the way. For example, the C400 Coupe will get a 333 PS twin-turbo mill, sort of like the old 3.5, but with tons more torque. An AMG Sport model with the same engine tuned to 367 PS is very likely, but testing has not yet started.

Finally, we have to talk about the AMG flavor. Reports suggest this will be shown in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015. Just like the W205 sedan and wagon, a 4-liter V8 will be offered. While smaller than the old 6.2-liter, a twin-turbo setup will help it deliver 476 PS.

There will also ben a C63 S Coupe with cool center-lock wheels, plus a power boost to 510 hp.
