Kawasaki Ninja H2 carries on in its second year of life, and the house of Akashi plans to deliver the bike in a new livery. The new graphic scheme is called Mirror Coated Spark Black and retains the basic approach the initial machine had.
The bigger news is that Kawasaki's Ninja H2 seems to be still in high demand, and we might just get to see it turning into a production bike. Despite its price tag, customers appear to maintain their interest in the H2. Retailing for $25,000 in the US and €25,000 in Europe, with even higher prices in certain countries, the Ninja H2 is the most technologically advanced street-legal bike in Kawasaki's stable.

When it was introduced, Kawasaki said that the H2 and its track-only H2R sibling would only be manufactured in a limited run, and sold on a first come, first served basis. No bikes would be present in dealerships, so customers will have to rely on their trust in Kawasaki and whatever info they can get from seeing the machines in motorcycle shows.

In April this year, Kawasaki announced they were planning to take new orders but failed to mention how many bikes would be made.

No word on the H2R, whether Kawasaki plans more bikes remains a mystery

There is no word on whether Akashi will be selling any more H2R machines in 2016. According to Italian Kawasaki sources, 500 Ninja H2R were about to be built, but how many of them were sold remains unknown.

The same sources indicated that the interest in both versions of the bike was very high straight from the beginning, with many wealthy customers willing to pay upfront to get whatever it was that Kawasaki delivered.

Even though those who made an effort to claw one of the bikes in the first wave might feel a bit betrayed, we have to admit we like the prospect of meeting more H2 machines on the street around the world.

The specs remain the same, and so appears to be the price. If you ask us, the original color scheme was truly glorious, even though cleaning the bike would result in small scuffs on the mirror finish and would require constant buffing. Still, the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja H2 is still a looker.
