After its big debut a couple of weeks ago, the all-new 2016 Honda Civic is making more public appearances. Not surprisingly, somebody photo-bombed the 2016 model with what looks like a 2015 one.
Our friends at the CivicX forum have sent us five photos where a white 2016 Civic Sedan sits alongside a blue Civic Si Coupe (we're 80% sure it's a 2015 model).

The outgoing Civic was already a flashy car, but the new one takes the cake. It's got a very sleek roof line and a bold grille borrowed from the Accord. Around the back, taillights stretching over the boot make it more imposing. The width has also increased and the wheelbase is 1.2 inches longer.

The white pre-production prototype is probably a white EX. It's painted in Taffeta White but doesn't boast the optional LED headlights. Despite this, it still looks sportier than the Si Coupe.

Further changes are taking place under the skin, as the all-new Civic sedan has lost 68 lbs (30.8 kg) despite gaining rigidity. Both the Hybrid and Natural Gas models have been dropped because the standard gasoline engines are economical enough.

The 2016 will be available with two gasoline four-bangers. One is an all-new 1.5-liter turbo, the first of its kind for Honda. The other is a new version of the 2-liter normally aspirated unit that's still going to deliver more power than the competition. With a special Eco package, you could even expect to get 40 mph out of the new Civic.

As for the features, all models get automatic climate control ( dual-zone for EX-L and above), electronic parking brake, adjustable driver’s seat thigh support and walk-away auto door locks. There's also a new infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Set to go on sale this fall, production of the 2016 Honda Civic Sedan will be made in Indiana and Canada with the engines coming from Ohio.
