Before going into specifics and tell you more about the recent set of spyshots showing the Citroen Jumpy during pre-production testing, let's do a memory exercise and reminisce about the Tubik concept.
Those of you who remember it, hold that image for a second. If Tubik doesn't ring any bells, we'll tell you that it's a Citroen concept unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011.

It also made a splash with its retro-modern combo looks and judging by the spyshots, it might have sent some styling features to the Citroen Jumpy.

Although it's not the first time our team of car photographers sent in pictures of a Jumpy test mule, these are close to the vehicle's official launch, scheduled to show up in late 2015 or early 2016.

The new Jumpy is Citroen's response to the Renault Trafic and the Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro and knowing the brand's affinity for funky exterior design, we expect the Jumpy to be something else.

Coming back to the Tubik concept, the test mule seems to borrow more or less the prototype's headlights, taillights and front grille. Also, the rumor mill is suggesting the Jumpy will be given human-carrying tasks as Citroen is looking to add a passenger-oriented vehicle similar to the VW Transporter Caravelle.

There's not a single clue regarding what the French commercial vehicles will hide under the hood, but expect a mix of both diesel and petrol engines, although diesel power would be better suited to the car's profile.
