Texas, as some readers may already know, is the kingdom of the pickup truck. As expected, General Motors responded to its competition with a Chevy Silverado. Cue the Rally Edition, a model that not only looks good but also comes equipped with plenty of goodies. The Rally Edition package for the 2016 model years differs from the one launched for 2015 in terms of looks.
Gone are the chrome bumpers and go-faster stripes of yesteryear and in come body-colored bumpers and black decals on the hood and the sides. As expected, they’re black as well for added visual drama.
Two-time Daytona 500 winner Dale Earnhardt, Jr., the son of NASCAR legend The Intimidator, is campaigning for the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Rally Edition this weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway. The special edition goes on sale later this month, with pricing to be announced in the coming weeks.
Those who will attend this weekend’s Duck Commander 500 will also get to admire the Silverado 1500 Realtree Edition, as well as the Silverado 1500 and 2500 Midnight Edition. Be there or be square!
