And we're here to show you whap happens when these two naturally aspirated V8 behemoths duke it out old-school. Yes, we're talking about a drag race here.

Alas, the street nature of the brawl not only means that things are unsafe, but also sees the whole setup being a little confusing - we don't want to ruin the fun of the video, so we won't go into the details here.

Nevertheless, given the smoke and mirrors take of the whole stunt, we've added a second video below. This clip is a melange involving cuts from multiple videos, but it does offer us a clearer idea on what happens when the two slabs of America discussed here have to perform sprinting tasks.

In theory, the sixth-generation Camaro SS is a muscle car that can handle the quarter-mile sprint in the low-12s area, while the super-Jeep needs about one extra second to cover the same task. Nevertheless, the SRT's all-wheel-drive should give it a clear advantage for the initial phase of such a race.

This is an excellent opportunity to remind you that we are now less than twelve months away from the introduction of the confirmed Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. We've spied the Hellcat-animated Grand Cherokee numerous times and we can tell you Jeep claims the beast will cover the 0 to 60 mph sprint in a mind-blowing 3.5 seconds.

For the record, the BMW X5 M needs 4 seconds to cover the said sprint, while the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S handles the task in 3.8 seconds. So, if you happen to be in the market for one of these family-destined velocity monsters, you'd better be prepared for its arrival.
