Let's say you head over to a Blue Oval dealership and grab yourself a 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350. Sure, with such a pony, you're always ready to hit the track for some laps, but a good old drag race is always around the corner.
And we're here to give you just that - a straight line brawl involving the 2016 Shelby GT350 and its closest enemy from the sixth-gen Camaro line-up, namely a 2016 Camaro SS.

Unfortunately, the two duke it out on the street, going for a quick setup: the muscle cars simply stop next to each other and engage in their fight, with everything happening quickly enough not to draw too much attention.

We normally steer clear of talking about the result of such as race, letting the footage of the battle do its job. However, when it comes to the battle we have here, its rather surprising result demands a bit of attention.

To be more precise, the Camaro walked the 'Stang, with the gap between the two increasing in size as the speed grew.

In theory, this shouldn't happen, with the Shelby GT350 being superior in the power-to-weight ratio by quite a margin, while the Camaro SS only comes with a slight torque advantage. And yet the Chevy runs away as it it was tuned, which, by the way, it isn't. At least that's what the uploader of the footage states, insisting on this when a Youtube commenter questions the factory setup of the Chevy.

The only on-paper aspect that favors the Chevrolet is its 8-speed auto, which shifts quicker thant the 6-seed manual of the Ford, despite the Mustang driver's best efforts.

When it comes to the aural side of the battle, though, the Ford's flat-plane crank scream clearly dominated the race. And, fortunately, the Mustang was used as the camera car here. So, as we stated in the title, at the end of the day, America wins.
