The new silencer looks killer and has dual stacked ports, with a carbon fiber end cap and a similar heat shield that bears the Akrapovic logo. The can itself is made from titanium, Akrapovic's material of choice that packs enhanced performance and endurance with a lower weight.

Installing the new silencer on your 2016 MY BMW C650 Sport will only take 30 minutes, Akrapovic says, and does not require advanced mechanical skills. This slip-on canister will simply replace the stock one, with no modifications being necessary.

Going Akrapovic on your C650 Sport machine will reduce the weight of the exhaust system by a whopping 44.9 percent, from 6.9 kg (15.2 lb) to 3.8 kg (8.4 lb), meaning a 3.1 kg (6.8 lb) difference. It may not sound like much, but remember we're not talking about a 200 kg (441 lb), 200 hp superbike, and each and every pound matters.

Speaking about power, the Akrapovic slip-on will take your 2016 BMW C650 Sport from 48.7 hp at 7850 rpm to 49.4 at the same rev count. The peak power increase is 1.3 hp at 5900 rpm, which is quite helpful in daily riding scenarios.

The torque curve is also improved, with the new silencer adding 1.5 Nm (1.1 lb-ft) at 5850 rpm, thus taking the C650 Sport to 53.2 Nm (39.2 lb-ft).

Besides looks that are incomparable to the aesthetics of the stock silencer and better performance figures, the new Akrapovic silencer will also endow your 2016 BMW C650 Sport with a deep, resonant tonal character that has become the timbre signature for the product of the Slovenian manufacturer.

By the way, in case you didn't know, Akrapovic is celebrating 25 years of aftermarket exhaust excellence, and we might even get to see some limited edition silencer from them in 2016.
