If you’re generous enough, you can spec the 2015 Volkswagen Passat all the way up to (are you ready for it?) EUR 65,000. Last time we checked, those were premium money, but we have to remember this is Volkswagen we’re talking about here, so they must know what they’re doing. We are not here to debate that, since we’ve already covered the topic in our 2015 Passat review, we want to offer you a few HD wallpapers instead.

The story of German cars looking less than premium when wearing halogen headlights is already old, but the Passat is here to do away with... Xenon. While the base model still comes with halogen, you can have three kinds of LED headlights. Moreover, the design of the headlights (halogen vs LED) is different, changing the car altogether.

The B8 Passat looks lower not just because... it is lower, but also thanks to a serious of horizontal styling tricks that were introduced specifically with this aim. The man who oversaw its styling, Marc Lichte, has now moved on to lead Audi’s design department.

The interior of the Passat is changed more profoundly than its exterior and what you see above is its party trick. Dubbed Active Info Display, this optional digital instrument clusters manages to influence the look of the entire dashboard. We only had one issue with it, namely the fact that it has a crowded layout.

In case any of you refused to believe our aforementioned claim about the Active Info Display transforming the dash altogether, this night time pic should serve as the ultimate argument. It also offers us a pretty good view of the Passat’s ambient lighting, which is a calming touch.

Yes, that is correct. The proportions have changed a bit. While the overall length has dropped a tad, the wheelbase has jumped considerably, so we now get these small overhangs. Notice how the roofline steals a few moves from that of the current CC model. As for the rest of the angles displayed by the new B8, you can check out the Full HD photo gallery of our 2015 Volkswagen Passat review.
