Only a few months after the new Smart Fortwo made its debut, performance and customization specialists Brabus have worked their magic with spectacular results. If you're looking for a 130 horsepower box on wheels, it's a case of "these aren't the droids you are looking for" because the debut we witnessed in Geneva is that of the Tailor Made program.
Basically, it turns a well built small car into something so spectacular, there's nothing else on the road like it. The first thing we noticed was the orange paintjob, which covers every piece of plastic on the Fortwo.

The color is called Spring Break Orange and has been applied everywhere, including the wheels. There's also a not-so-subtle body kit that's been applied. It completely changes the lower front spoiler, adding extra aero bits. The side skirts are enhanced, while at the back, we see a small diffuser and a substantial twin-pipe exhaust system.

When we tested the 2015 Fortwo, the interior struck as as well made. However, leather seats are not a Smart specialty. That's where Brabus comes in with its quilted white seats, door inserts and even a white leather dash. The Germans have even changed the gear shifter (it looks like a Golf GTI bit) and handbrake grip. They are welcomed pieces of the arsenal, especially when the old ones were boring Renault bits.

And there is also extra trim in the same orange as the exterior. This includes the instrument cluster trim and rings of the air vents. Overall, this is a girly car that any self-respecting man would love to own.

The bad news is that we'll have to wait a little more for the arrival of the engine power pack for the 0.9 TCe engine. And since they didn't show it in Geneva, it's probably not a big deal anyway.
