2015 Roush Mustang Exhaust Sounds Tempting

When Roush introduced their 2015 Mustang last month, the bad boy bodykit won us over. Nonetheless, the pumped-up pony is yet to hit the market. Heck, the tech details aren’t even out yet. This means this is the perfect time for Roush to tease us. They couldn’t miss out on such an opportunity, so they’ve come up with the adjacent clip, which gives us the voice of the beast.

Roush will eventually come up with a tech tune for all three current versions of the 2015 Mustang. The range will include the RS (the V6 pack), the RS1 (destined for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost) and the RS2, which will be worn by the 5.0 GT. Speaking of this, the RS2 five-oh is the exact model we have here, albeit in naturally-aspirated form. To put it another way, this is one short, but sweet vee eight concert. By the way, this is probably what Roush calls the Activ8 active exhaust, but we'll have to wait for the full release in order to be sure.

With the new independent rear axle of the 2015 Mustang, the exhaust has obviously gone through a route change and Roush is still working to finalize the design.

The complete technical package

Aside from the engine package, Roush also plays with the chassis of the 2015 ‘Stang is also being tweaked. You’ll be able to choose between two adjustable coilover setups, while the car will talk to the road via 20-inch wheels wrapped in Cooper RS3 rubber. As for the stopping power, this will come from Brembo hardware, including both calipers and discs.

In case you are wondering what Roush does when they’re not working on their latest pony, you should know the rumor mill places the company on a pretty unexpected adventure. Thus, Roush is believed to have been selected to build Google’s autonomous cars. This would make sense, since Roush is not a tuner, but a specialty vehicle manufacturer, meaning it has what it takes to build cars from scratch.
