Some say that the Opel Vivaro B is just a rebadged X82-gen Renault Traffic. That's partially correct. The Opel/Vauxhall-badged light commercial vehicle is built in Great Britain, while the Frenchie is assembled in Sandouville, alongside the 2015 Nissan Primastar.
But the Renault Traffic loses to the Opel Vivaro in terms of style, especially when the LCV is prepped with the Irmscher Tourer Pack. Jointly developed by Opel and the Irmscher tuning house, the Tourer Pack adds a little bit of extra aesthetic specialness over the standard Vivaro lineup of models both inside and out.
Starting with the 17-inch Wave-Star rims, these come in either matt or gloss finish. The 7x17 alloy wheels are wrapped in 215/60 R17 low-resitance tires made by Dunlop and cost €1,500 (net, including VAT) for an entire set. For €130 more, these babies can be fitted with tire pressure monitoring system valves.
The Combi, Van, CrewCab variants of the Vivaro also benefit from an Irmscher-approved interior package. With prices ranging from €491 to €1,369, the light commercial vehicle is enhanced with black leather and contrasting silver stitching virtually everywhere.
Velour mats and extra soundproofing are thrown in as an added bonus. For a 2015 Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro Combi, nine seats and all, the entire Irmscher Tourer Pack will cost you €2,999 (approximately £2,160).
As a brief reminder, the second-generation Vivaro is available in a large number of variants in two chassis lengths (4,998 mm and 5,398 mm), two heights and as a platform chassis. The turbo diesel engine that animates this European workhorse packs from 90 to 140 HP and can return 5.7 l/100 km (49.5 UK mpg).
