Though it's not as muscular and aggressive as the W204 and it ditched the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 in favor of the new M177 4-liter biturbo vee eight, the all-new C 63 AMG is every bit as good as one might expect. Its styling is full-on AMG, therefore it's rather impossible even for the uninitiated gearhead to confuse it for a run-of-the-mill diesel C-Class sedan.

Without further ado, this is what you've been waiting to hear: the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG boasts with 476 horsepower (14 ponies more than the base AMG GT) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, so it's quite the bruiser even in standard tune. As for the hotter C 63 AMG S, this four-door bad boy churns out a hefty 510 horsepower (as much oomph as the AMG GT S) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft), slightly more torque than the top-spec Mercedes-AMG GT S.

They look similar, but are there any notable differences between them?

Although official photos are limited at the moment of writing this article, Mercedes-Benz's German website has a few pictures of the all-new models and all the list of goodies that differentiate the proper AMGs over the normal and AMG Styling Pack C-Class models. The main visual difference between the C 63 AMG and C 63 AMG S comes in the form of the wheels they're fitted with. While the standard C 63 AMG gets 18-inch titanium grey AMG light-alloy rims, the more powerful Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG S is adorned with motorsport-inspired single-nut matte black alloy wheels and sporty red brake calipers.

A T-Model (estate) C 63 AMG will follow shortly for all the cool dads and mums out there. Compared to the all-wheel drive E 63 AMG S, the C 63 AMG S doesn't add 4Matic. Other cool features you might be interested in is the standard multi-clutch AMG Speedshift MCT seven-speed automatic transmission and the impressive fuel economy figures: the C 63 AMG drinks just 8.2 liters of fuel / 100 km (34.4 UK mpg; 28.6 US mpg) on the combined cycle and produces 192 grams of CO2 / kilometer, while the C 63 AMG S consumes 8.4 liters of petrol / 100 km (33.6 UK mpg; 28 US mpg) and produces 195 g of CO2 per km.
