Mazda used to be the go-to place if you wanted a normal car with lots of soul and sometimes power. The new 3 and 6 are nothing short of wonderful, but some have argued rumors of a rumor that the MazdaSpeed3 is being killed off indicates the Japanese company is losing its soul.
We're not so sure about that, especially since this is a company that is always giving fans exactly what the want. Nothing more, nothing less. Their next big project will surely revive people's hopes in the company and give die-hard fans a "reason to live" until next year.
The next generation Miata or MX-5 is currently being developed with Alfa Romeo and should be ready in a year. We've shown you plenty of spy photos with the car, but we do understand it's hard to get excited about boring old test mules.
That's why we're showing you this latest rendering created by X-Tomi Design. There's a bit of SLK, a dash of Jaguar and a tea-spoon of BMW Z4 in there. But that's just how the Miata has always been, taking the best of the sportscar world and offering it on a strict budget.
Update: Mazda has officially revealed the car. The all-new roadster is lighter by 100 kilos, shorter by 10 centimeters and lower by2 centimeters. Sadly, the design looks nothing what X-Tomi has done.
