Roman and Nathan from TFL Car are somewhere in Colorado tracking down prototypes that have yet to reach consumer's eyes.
The car they spotted today is without a doubt the new Lexus NX, previewed by a crazy concept in Frankfurt, but rumored for a few months before that. It's a crossover that's smaller than the RX, and the video actually reveals something quite interesting about what is expected of the car. The test engineers were Benchmarking the car against the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
The test mule is based on the RAV4 from bumper to bumper, but there seem to be some Lexus elements inside the car.
Rumor has it the NX is going to be offered with Toyota's new turbo-4 engine for the 200t model and a hybrid system similar to the ES in the 300h.
Beyond what what little we can learn about the car from just looking at a RAV4 test mule, the video is really funny, seeing as all those Japanese test engineers are rushing to cover up their car and block the camera.
