Yesterday we introduced you to the awesome sound of Kawasaki’s all-new, upcoming Ninja H2 bike, and it looks like this machine has already sparked the wild imagination of quite a lot of guys. The latest rumor in the business is that the Ninja H2 would be the new flagship of House Akashi… possibly meaning that the Ninja ZX-14R will be dethroned, according to bikewale.
Now, the ZX-14R in its stock trim is already capable of delivering close to 192 horsepower, and in case Kawasaki’s new turbo mill is indeed based on the 1,441cc in-line four, then we’re going to see a bike which may be a tad too much for regular street use, at least according to the standards most riders are used to.

Seeing a Ninja which provides around 300 hp is rather MotoGP territory and in no way what you and I would use for a road-only vacation. At the same time, fuel economy for the 1.4-liter turbo engine would definitely be impaired, shortening the range and reducing the long haul fun factor, which is definitely not the best way to “develop” the supersport-touring segment.

A new teaser episode is expected tomorrow and maybe it will also come with some extra info we could extract from it, especially as Kawasaki is exceptionally secretive for the moment. The mentioned source has managed to secure what is said to be one of the patent drawings for the Ninja H2, and we can certainly say it looks a bit like the ZX-14R profile.

Still, these drawings are rather generic, and their lines are not exactly accurately following those of the final production model… just because they’re sketches made before the actual bike is in a definitive trim. We’re positive we’ll find out more on this matter quite soon, but until then our bets are set on a middleweight machine.
