The fourth generation CR-V is with us for almost three years now. As such, Honda is ready to offer a mid-cycle facelift of the compact crossover SUV and this is it, ladies and gentlemen, the first photo of the 2015 Honda CR-V in all its facelifted glory.
Whereas the pre-facelift model was a little bland up front, the updated CR-V boasts with minor changes that transform the front fascia, giving it a more upmarket look than before. The most important element of the nip and tuck job is respresented by slightly revamped headlights. If we're correct, the new units appear to be crystal clear projector beams.
The LED daytime running lights are bridged by the posh brightwork of the front grille. Speaking of which, triple chrome horizontal bars now dominate the face of the CR-V, a similar design to what one might find on the new Civic and Fit. Even the lower bumper has been touched by the botox needle. As such, there's revamped fog lamps boasting with posh, rectangular chrome bezels, as well as black cladding on the lower section.
According to the overall look, we suspect the CR-V in the photo above to be an EX model. Unfortunately, there's no photo evidence of the interior makeover at the moment, but we expect minimal changes for the cabin. Last but not least, the oily bits are also a mystery at the moment, but we have a sneaking suspicion the mechanicals don't differ too much from the current CR-V. That means under the bonnet there's a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder with 185 horsepower and 163 lb-ft on tap, coupled to a five-speed automatic tranny.
