With three months left until the 2013 Detroit Auto Show opens its doors - where the 2015 Mustang will reportedly be unveiled - a set of “most life-like and accurate” renderings show the redesigned musclecar’s rear end.
The first question that probably comes to your mind is whether these images and their source are to be trusted or not. Well, the folks over at Mustang6G claim they’re “refined from CAD images of the actual car, with our various spy photos used as a starting point”. If this is accurate, then we’re looking at something very close to the real thing.
Unlike the front end, which sports a brand new design based on the Evos concept and featuring Ford’s new signature grille, the rear end is still related to the current-generation Mustang, with three-piece taillights and a similar bumper.
No other new styling details are featured in the renderings below, but our source says “one design feature that is new to Mustangs and not yet reflected in this model is a shallow double-bubble roof that would only be slightly visible from these angles. This will be shown on renders to come.”
That being said, stick around for more 2015 Mustang images and updates on Ford’s brand new musclecar.
