Ford Motor Company has released two new videos featuring the brand new 2015 Mustang, which is scheduled to go on sale in the fourth quarter of the year.
Part of the manufacturer’s monthly technical briefing for the new pony, the first clip focuses on aerodynamic development and testing and showcases some of the new features that make the 2015 Mustang sleeker and more fuel efficient that the current model.
More powerful than the 2014 GT, the new range-topping V8 Mustang promises to deliver better handling at high speeds thanks to numerous aerodynamic enhancements. These include Ford’s new “wheel aero curtains”, splitter and air dams below the front fascia and a pair of vents in the hood. In fact, each of the three trim levels will have their own unique grills, while the EcoBoost model will feature active grille shutters.
The second video provides a better look at the 2015 Mustang Convertible, which we detailed last month. The droptop features some subtle styling modifications when compared to the fastback and was gifted with a brand new soft top that allows for more trunk space.
Made out of a full fabric outer layer and a full inner headliner, the soft top is now operated by an electromechanical drive system that’s twice as fast and quieter than the one fitted on the current ‘Stang.
