With the 2015 Ford Mustang expected to hit showrooms very soon, the Blue Oval is celebrating its all-new pony and the iconic nameplate's 50-year anniversary with some special t-shirts. 15 designs will be available for pre-order starting August 26th.
To be sold only at www.gilt.com/unleashed, the t-shirt collection is adorned with graphics that pay tribute to all things Mustang. 5 fashion designers - Anna Sui, Rogan Gregory and Scott Mackinlay-Hahn of Rogan, Paula Cademartori, Tomaso Anfossi and Francesco Ferrari of CO|TE, as well as Pamela Love, have penned the Mustang Unleashed collection of t-shirts. For the Mustang Unleashed collection, women’s casual-fit t-shirts will feature a U/V-shaped neckline and slightly fitted sleeves, while the men’s collection adopt a crew-neck style.
Each Mustang Unleashed collection shirt is made by Loomstate in the U.S using only organic cotton. “Mustang embraces passion, power, adventure and freedom, and by collaborating with top designers known for their expressive personalities and designs, we are blending the parallels between the worlds of fashion and automotive like never before,” said Kim Cape, group marketing manager. “The Mustang Unleashed collection celebrates the passion and freedom of Mustang, and its inspiration to pop culture over the last 50 years.”
The design inspiration for each of the previously mentioned varies greatly. Anna Sui's signature work illustrates the freedom, authenticity and inspiration embodied in the Ford Mustang, while Pamela Love's inspiration came from the pony's enduring role in American pop culture and the idea of moving forward while leaving the past behind.
