Development of the 2015 Mustang began in 2009, but the production-ready pony is now reality and boy the breed leveled up from the S197 ‘Stang. For starters, the rear suspension system is finally an independent job, loosely related to the new Mondeo's.
In addition to this technical detail, the S550 ‘Stang also reintroduced four-cylinder turbocharged mills, more specifically, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that churns out 310 horsepower and 320 lb-ft (433 Nm). Remember the Fox Body Mustang? That atrocity is the one that introduced a turbo four-banger to a long and illustrious line of V8-powered ponies.

Just like its $25,300 cousin sold in the States, the Euro-spec 2015 Ford Mustang offers 310 HP and a meaty 433 Nm, but there’s a catch to this. According to a pricing guide leaked on the web by motor-talk.de, the six-speed manual inline-four fastback is going to cost at least €34,000 in Germany, which translates to roughly $41,515 at current exchange rates.

If you’re interested in 5-liter Coyote V8 oomph, we are sorry to announce that the Euro-spec model is churning out just 412 horsepower, not the full 435 bonanza of the US-spec 2015 Ford Mustang V8

In addition to this, pricing starts from €39,000 on the Old Continent, which equals to a sizable $47,620, a lot considering the US-spec 2015 Ford Mustang GT fastback manual holds a starting price of $32,625. Coupes may not be to everyone’s liking, especially the roadster-crazy Brits, which is why Ford is also offering the aforementioned two in soft-top format. Just add €4,000 ($4,884) for the privilege.

Before you even look at the optional extras list, be advised that the most expensive Euro-spec ‘Stang comes in the form of the 5-liter V8 convertible with the six-speed automatic box (€45,000 / $54,947). Taking into account the least expensive Porsche Boxster starts from €49,957 in its home market, Ford pulled a nice stunt with the pricing of the made-for-Europe 2015 Ford Mustang.
