Celebrating 50 years since the iconic pony has been launched, the limited edition Stang is laden with all sort of goodies, including the 5-liter Coyote V8 packing 435 horses and 400 lb-ft of torque. Because the Mustang was launched in 1964, the Blue Oval decided to assemble that many special edition cars.
The last of the run will be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas in the last weekend of September. The winning bidder won't be spending a huge amount of money on a special edition car. The proceeds will go to Get Your Heart Racing, an event that is supporting the Henry Ford Health System's Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.

Moreover, the winning bidder will receive a VIP package to the Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, where a 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang will serve as official pace car. He or she will be offered the option to have a free supercharger installed to increase the horsepower of the legendary pony car. Did we mention that the winning bidder has the opportunity to ride along in the pace car as a NASCAR driver completes hot laps around Homestead-Miami Speedway prior to the race?

“Ford Mustang inspires passion like no other car,” declared Raj Nair, Ford group vice president of global product development. “The visceral look, sound and performance of Mustang resonates with people, even if they’ve never driven one. Mustang is definitely more than just a car - it is the heart and soul of Ford.”

True that. The Mustang is the halo sports car of the Ford Motor Company and the anniversary model borrows all the greatest styling cues of former generation ponies. Speaking of which, each limited edition car is adorned with a plaque on the instrument panel engraved with a serial number and the signature of Bill Ford. Then there's that gorgeous Wimbledon White exterior hue and glass louvers a la '65 fastback adorning the rear quarter-windows.

Last but not least, this anniversary pony is fitted with two-tone black leather and cashmere seats and cashmere stitching on the steering wheel, as well as cool, retro axel spin aluminum detailing on the dash.
