A few days after the facelifted Ford Focus ST has made its world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Photoshop wizard from Hungary known under the X-Tomi Design moniker imagined how the sedan and wagon versions of the Focus ST would look like.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Blue Oval won't ever implement the ST treatment on the sedan or wagon Focus in this generation of the model, so these two renderings will have to suffice at least until the next-gen Focus will break cover in 2017.
Just like the hatchback unveiled at the glorious Goodwood Festival of Speed, X-Tomi's renderings center around the tell-tale signs that differentiate an ST from a run-of-the-mill Ford Focus. Specifically, the new ST is adorned with a more aggressive front fascia, minor stylistic changes at the rear, smoked headlights, big alloy wheels and a centrally mounted single tip sports exhaust.
As far as consumer preferences go, the Ford Focus ST sedan would sell a whole lot better in the United States than the hatchback version recently unveiled in Great Britain, while the family-special wagon would be a great proposition for cool moms and dads around the world, especially if you could equip it with the 2-liter TDCi four-pot rated at 182 horsepower and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.
We remind you that besides the all-new diesel powerplant, the 2015 Ford Focus ST hatchback retains its 2-liter EcoBoost turbocharged gasoline mill rated at 252 horses and 270 lb-ft, while handling is enhanced by a new set of springs at the front, revised shocks and a recalibrated electric power steering system. Both the diesel and petrol come only in front-wheel drive guise, with power delivered to the wheels via a six-speed stick shift.
