Yesterday we learned that the next-generation Corvette Z06 will make its global debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show next month. We also saw the first teaser shot of what GM promises to be “the most track-capable Corvette ever”.
We sincerely thought that was it for a couple of weeks, but the 2015 Corvette Z06 came back into our news section today, as a photo of what appears to be the actual sportscar GM will be revealing in January leaked via Facebook.
We don’t know where the photo was taken, but judging by the body color, the wheels and the side skirts, we’re tempted to believe we’re looking at the real thing. However, the photos show different side vents, which is why we’ll remain skeptical until more details become available.
But if this leaked photo is indeed of the 2015 Corvette Z06 we’ll be seeing in Detroit, then we’re looking at some of the exterior enhancements the sportscar will be receiving, such as carbon fiber front splitter, side skirts and rear spoiler, wider hips and a slightly different hood.
